It’s time for another collab post!
I’m from the good ol’ south, the place where people live and breath (American) football. More specifically i’m from Texas, home of the Houston Texans, Dallas Cowboys, UT longhorns, and A&M Aggies, OH AND DONT FORGET THE UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON COUGARS!!! In light of football season being back each of us is going to share what we do to get ready for game day.
My favorite NFL team is the Texans and my favorite college team is the University of Houston Cougars!!!
To have a good game day I need:
Game day food:
You can’t watch football without greasy food to snack on!! Nachos are an easy yet tasty game day snack soooo I decided to share a recipe with y’all.
- 1 (32 ounce) pkg. Velveeta Cheese, cubed
- 1 lb hot ground sausage I prefer the Jimmy Dean brand, browned
- 1 can tomatoes, undrained
- 1 stick butter
- some pepper
- some spicy seasoning of some sort I use Tony’s.
- Tortilla chips of your choice
- Put all of the ingredients into your slow cooker, cover, and cook on low for 1-2 hours until hot and bubbly. Serve with tortilla chips for dipping.
Game day outfit:
At the very minimum your game day outfit should consist of a jersey or a team shirt. As you can see above I go all out and wear team socks and shoes and towels and lanyards and all that crazy jazz.
Game day spirit:
The final thing you need to have the perfect game day is team spirit, having team spirit is what makes foot ball fun. If you are at home kick back and holler at your tv everytime your team makes a touchdown, If you are at a game event you best be up yelling and screaming at the top of your lungs showing your team support.
That’s about all I need to have a good football game day! Get out there and support your team, oh and test out that nacho cheese dip recipe and tell me how you like it!
Side note: Sorry for the late post, crappy writing and lack of a header pic..I’m cramming for an exam right now. Love y’all Thanks for reading, hope you forgive me and check out next Wednesday’s post! (:
